Duke 790 Ktm's new Flagship Bike for India?

The elder sibling of Duke 390 is finally coming to India. As KTM earlier set the performance parameters back in when they launched the Duke 390, the bike maker is again ready to set the same ride experience in 800 cc middleweight segment. Recently the bike has been spotted in Karnataka with a temporary number plate and it can be possible that KTM is planning to launch 790 in the upcoming festive season. The Bike carries an ugly saree guard so that it can handle the Indian Roads.

So lets About what the Bike is all about...Powering this beast is a twin cylinder 799 cc Liquid-cooled engine which produces about 105 BHP and 86Nm of max torque. The compression ratio of the bike is 12.7:1 which is the closest to the idle 14.7:1. and with the dry weight of just 174 kg, the power to weight is equivalent to a Super car (to be noted this bike goes from 0-96 kmph in 3.11 sec).
The electronic package on the 790 comprises of various types of tracks modes ( including Supermoto mode ), Traction Control, Stability Control, Dual Channel Abs (which is switchable), cornering Abs (to save your back on the track), Quick-shifter and Motor slip regulation.
Ktm has provided this bike with some good quality rubber. The front tire is 120/70-17 inch and the rear one is 180/55-17 inch both of them are Maxxis Supermaxx ST. As this thing is a Street-Fighter the chassis as well as the suspension are on the stiffer side.
The bike will give a tough competition to all the bikes which are already in this segment like the Kawasaki z900, Suzuki gsx-s750, Ducati Monster 821 and the sweet-sounding Triumph Street Triple.
