When we talk about performance cars there are plenty of nice options available in the market but they all come with big price tags and also most of them are not very practical. If you want a car that you can use in your day-to-day cycle and which gives a smile whenever you step on the throttle then you can consider one of these as your next daily driver. 

Tata Tigor JTP. (7.59 lakh Ex-showroom )

Tigor JTP is the first-ever performance sedan that is launched by Tata motors under Jayem Tata's performance venture. The car is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine which produces 112bhp and 150 Nm of peak torque. Tigor JTP produces 33% more power than the regular Tigor. The car is developed specifically for young enthusiasts or the people who want a fun to drive a car without putting a big hole in their pocket. Apart from the engine modification, the car gets a lot of cosmetics as well as other mechanical upgrades like revised front and rear bumper, upsize alloys, sporty interior and paint job. The suspension is also on the stiffer side, to give it better handling and confidence, as well as some tweaks in the steering system.

Ford Aspire Titanium Blu ( 7.52 Lakh Ex-showroom)

Next up on the list is the Ford Aspire Titanium Blu. Ford Recently Launched the facelifted version of the new aspire with a lot of upgrades to compete in the compact sedan market. Although it's not properly the sports edition it carries everything which an enthusiast would dream off. Aspire Blu comes with 2 Engine options, First is a 1.2 Liter 3 cylinder petrol engine which delivers about 100 ps or 95 Hp of power and 120 Nm of max torque and the other engine is a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo-charged diesel motor which delivers 100 horses and 215 Nm of torque from as low as 1750 rpm. Apart from the new engines, the Aspire gets revised sports suspension which is stiffer than the softer settings which we get from the lower trims. The Blu gets dual-tone interior with Blue color inserts. It gets 340 liters of boot space which is adequate for carrying large suitcases. All in all the Blu shines in the crowd.

Honda City Petrol ( 9.98 Lakh Ex-showroom)

Want to be kicked by the ravishing 1.5-liter i-vtec, then this family sedan is your perfect answer."Honda City" is one of the most popular and beloved model in India  This gen offers great cabin space and a large number of techno specs like the new headlights with DRL, LED taillights, foldable ORVMs with turn blinker, sunroof, shark-fin antenna, etc.
The City is based on Honda’s new design theory of Advanced Energetic Design. In this, the cars are designed to be sleeker and smoother, not only on the outside but also from the inside. Honda cars are always known for their handling and driving dynamics and the city shows the same. It has great high-speed stability, feedback from the steering, powerful brakes and a happily revving motor that provides 117 horses under your feet.  

Hyundai Verna Diesel ( 11.72 Lakh Ex-showroom)


The Korean automaker revealed the car with fresh styling and lots of modern features back in 2017. Hyundai has also given a 3 years unlimited Kilometers warranty to ensure complete peace of mind for its customers. Hyundai has claimed to have worked upon the handling of the new Verna, It is now has a very crisp steering wheel. It gives a lot more feedback than the previous generation. In fact, in its Diesel version. It has 1.6 L CRDi diesel which puts out 127 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque from a very low 1500 rpm. The Car is loaded with lots of safety features which makes it one of the safest cars available on road in this segment. It has 6-airbags with ABS, Impact sensing Door Unlock, Front projector fog lamps, and ISOFIX which is an added feature to assist baby on board.

      Well in my opinion
      Tigor - is for budget oriented people. It has linear power deliver
      Aspire is the VFM car in compact sedan segment
      It has a feature loaded interior as well as mechanis
      The only downside for me are the smaller rims
      Verna diesel can take u to speeds in no time but the steering is very soft at higher speed as compared to others so it doesn't give the same confidence as others
      Honda city has the most rev happy engine. It all has many features and it is one of the best sellers in india
      Every car has its own pros and cons. You should take the test drive of the car you like and decide whether you want it or not.
