Super bikes you can buy at the price of Ninja 650.

Kawasaki recently launched the updated version of its middleweight sports tourer the Ninja 650. In its 2020 variant, the motorcycle gets a lot of cosmetic updates and electronic gizmos like LED headlights which are similar to Ninja 400 and you can easily judge one for the other. The update also brings a new 4.5-inch color TFT instrument panel which has smartphone connectivity and many other things. But the bike hasn't got any mechanical update apart from being BS-6 compliant. The 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor produces 68 PS of power and 64 Nm of max torque which are the same figures for quite some time. No doubt that this motorcycle is brilliant value for money package but at a price point of Rs 7 lakhs ( on-road) the used bike market also offers a lot of different options with bikes belonging to different segments.

1) Triumph Street Triple:-

The first bike is a sweet-sounding motorcycle from Britain, It's the Triumph street triple 675. This motorcycle was launched in Indian back in 2013 to compete against the Kawasaki Z800  and Ducati monster 785. This bike is also the triumphs highest-selling motorcycle anywhere in the whole world because its an allrounder, one can take this on the track or ride it in the city also it's a good tourer. The design of the motorcycle is very unique and has a europian character and the power delivery also start in the very low end ( around 2000-2500 rpm). The bike used to come with a 675 cc inline 3 cylinder engine which produces 79 bhp and 57 Nm of torque, the engine is the same unit which is carried in the Daytona 675. However, the International spec uses to produce 108 bhp but due to this detuned engine, this bike becomes very friendly for amateurs as well as a fun machine for professionals. One can get a nice condition motorcycle form 5 to 7 lakh rupees in the used market.

2) Triumph Thruxton 1200 TFC:-

Thruxton 1200 is another Motorcycle from triumph which belongs to a completely different joiner of riding and carried the perfect blend of modern machinery wrapped with retro charm. The Indian motorcycle community is majorly concentrated for faired and cruiser motorcycles but believe me this thing is on another level. Thruxton 1200 R is a retro-modern cafe-racer from triumph which is powered by a Parallel-twin 1200cc Liquid-cooled motor which produces around 105 PS of power and 112 Nm of peak torque. This bike may look that it's from the '70s but don't judge a book by its cover... you will get all the necessary which you need from a modern superbike which includes which include top of the line Brembo brakes with ABS, cornering ABS, Power modes, Traction control, ride by wire and many more. This bike is available from around 7 Lakhs and the plus point is you will stand out of the crowd.

3) Suzuki GSX-S 750:-

An inline 4 cylinder which has beefy muscular looks and packed with all the basic necessary electronics, Yes its none other than the Suzuki GSX-S750 which is also the company's second big bike to be assembled in India after GSX-1300R AKA Hayabusa. It was showcased and launched in 2018 at a very attractive price point which was just Rs 7.45 lakh ex-showroom and since then it became the most affordable middleweight naked superbike in the Indian bike market. Powering this Suzuki is an inline 4 749cc liquid-cooled motor which was derived from its supersport sibling the GSX - R750 that produces 114 Ps of power and 81 Nm of torque which is enough to take this bike from "0" to a top speed of more than 230 kmph. The bike comes with different levels of Power and Traction modes and Traction Control can be turned off. As this Suzuki was launched in 2018 you can easily get one in the bike market for around Rs 7 Lakhs including some accessories.

4) Kawasaki Ninja 1000:-

Will, You ever believe if I tell you that you can buy a liter-class inline 4 Kawasaki motorcycle for less than Rs 7 Lakhs?.... For a second even I wouldn't believe myself but yes it's true. Just like the 650, Kawasaki will soon launch the ninja 1000 which will carry a similar TFT display and some other upgrades apart from being BS-6 compliant. The previous generation Ninja 1000 was also a quite popular motorcycle in India and was awarded as the best sports tourer motorcycle at an affordable price point. It uses to come with adjustable suspension, power modes, three-way traction control, and an inline 4 which produces 142 Ps of power and 111 Nm of torque. You can get one of these in good condition and less driven for as low as Rs 5.5 Lakhs. Also to note that Japanese motorcycles are far easier to maintain and there is very little chance that anything will go wrong if they were timely serviced and properly ridden.

5) Harley Davidson Iron 883:-

HD Iron 883, The bike which started Harley Davidson's journey in India, and to be honest it is actually a nice bike both for the city as well as highway. Before the street series, this was Harley's entry-level motorcycle in India. The bike is manufactured in the US, is brought by CKD route, and is assembled Bawal, Haryana. Iron 883 belongs to the Sportster series and has an 883 cc air-cooled V-twin motor which produces around  50Bhp and 70Nm of peak torque. Ducati India flag off the monster series with the 795 model which was later replaced by 797 and the bigger more powerful monster 821 was launched in 2017. This bike was specifically built for the Asia market and as it was updated in 2017, The bike received an all-new TFT display with different settings of  ABS and traction control system as well as multiple riding modes. Let's talk about some power figures - 112 PS of power and 86 Nm of peak torque are produced by an 821 cc L-twin liquid-cooled engine that is capable of taking this bike from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 4.5 secs.
